My name is Jeanne Levitan and I am raising funds for Leo who is 1 of 6 puppies born on 1/1/25 that we rescued and bottle fed since they were 2 days old. There were 10 puppies total, but unfortunately 3 had passed before we got to them and 1 passed in the car on our way home. We have found homes for all of the puppies except for Leo who is still being fostered by my daughter due to his health conditions. We worried about Leo from an early age by just seeing how differently he stood and walked from the other puppies. We had him examined at his 6 week vaccine appointment and we unfortunately were told that Leo has what seems to be hip displaysia. His right hip seemed to be worse than the left. Hip dysplasia cannot be fully diagnosed at this age but his clinical exam showed significant signs of it. Worst case he will need surgery in both hips. At the least he will need extensive physical therapy, routine radiographs, frequent clinical exams, medications, supplements and high quality food. My daughter is his foster mom until he is healthy and ready to find his forever home. We are raising funds to help her give him the best care possible. Any additional funds will be donated to animals in need who's family cannot afford their medical care. Below I attached the surgical estimate which is only for one hip. Those numbers will change if he would need both hips done.
