Hi friends, We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and coworker, Anne Marie, a beloved member of the Grits Cafe family, who has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer. Anne Marie is scheduled to undergo surgery on August 11 and will be out of work for 4 to 6 weeks as she recovers. As you can imagine, this time will bring not only physical and emotional challenges, but also financial ones — especially with medical bills and lost wages during recovery. If you’ve ever met Anne Marie, you know how kind-hearted, hardworking, and dedicated she is — always showing up with a smile and a warm spirit that lifts everyone around them. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her! We’re hoping to raise donations to help ease the burden during this difficult time.
