Rick was diagnosed with ALS  approximately 4 years ago. He was the life of the party and everywhere he went he made friends...anyone who knew Rick talks about his charm, humor and of course his love of carpentry! Hes never met a sarcastic phrase he didnt love..
We have watched his body deteriorate as ALS is famous for. At 50 years he needed assistance going to the bathroom, showering and even eating every meal. But oh his mind was still full force! If we fed him he told us how big of a bite and if we did it wrong! And dont set a drink on his table without a coaster! That's what we loved...so much personality in a body that continues to shut down - until Sat December 29th when they called to tell us he was gone. Stopped breathing. A call we never expected right now - I just talked to him 2 days prior! His caseworker agreed! For whatever reason God chose to take another angel and we miss our brother and friend ...no way to know how or why. 
Rick did not have life insurance - he couldnt afford it obviously with the diagnosis he was given. He has us -3 siblings who are trying to cover expenses , travel and would like to honor his wishes for a celebration of life party. Anything will help cover these costs and we thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
