Support Lauren's Recovery Journey

Hi, I’m Lauren! Many of you know me as your friendly neighborhood taproom server at Hopping Gnome Brewing, a support-your-local-anything enthusiast, and mama to my sweet kiddo, Aspen

On 12/11, I suffered a transient ischemic attack that required immediate emergency care, hospitalization for a week, and urgent surgery on my spine.

It has left me in a tough spot. I am unable to walk without assistance or carry out any daily tasks. I have many upcoming appointments with specialists and physical therapists to hopefully gain my abilities back over time. I am so grateful for the healthcare professionals that provided my care and they continue to search for answers to help prevent further incidents from occurring. There are many uncertainties ahead for me, but I remain positive that things will improve for me given time.

I work very hard to support my little family; but at this time, I am allowing myself the humility and grace to ask for help. I have many medical expenses as well as my month-to-month finances to attend to, and have now lost the ability to work for the community I love so dearly.
