Ometa's Medical Update & Fund

My mother-in-law, Ometa Claypole, was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer back in 2013. She chose early in the process to not undergo any chemotherapy or radiation as treatment for her breast cancer because of how it destroys the body. Instead, she had a double masectomy with reconstruction.
Fast forward 2 years to 2015. She started having back pains and attempted the normal treatment for back problems such as physical therapy and chiropractors. But after months of no progress and the feeling that the pain was increasing, she went in for an MRI. The MRI revealed stage 4 breast cancer metastesis of the bone with a pathologic spinal fracture requiring immediate surgery in order to stabalize the spine and ensure she would not end up paralyzed. She underwent 2 back surgeries within 3 days and spent 11 days in the hospital. Since then, bone scans have revealed numerous areas of bone metastesis.
After weeks of nonstop prayer and seeking direction from God, Bill and Ometa have decided to no longer consider chemotherapy and radiation as a viable option.
Instead, they have chosen a non-traditional integrated cancer treatment plan at the Oasis of Hope in Tijuana, Mexico. The treatment includes a 20 day stay in Tijuana, 3 months of time at home, then an additional 10 days in Tijuana.
Unfortuantely, this treatment will not be covered under any insurance plan; therefore, they will be paying completely out of pocket for this treatment. Any money given will go directly to paying for treatment and travel expenses during this 4 month process.

Bill and Ometa will be beginning their journey out to Tijuana on Sunday, December 20th for their 20 day stay and will return on Sunday, January 10th. Please continue to pray for safe travels, healing for Ometa, and comfort for the family.
