Justice for Charlie
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Gina, and I am raising funds for my dear friend Charlie, a resilient Shih Tzu/Pug mix and avid swimmer in Port Dalhousie's waters, who has shown incredible strength and courage in the face of adversity after surviving a vicious attack by a pitbull that got away from its owner on the beach in Port Dalhousie, St. Catharines, Ontario, on June 12. Thankfully, once we got Charlie away from the other dog, we grabbed her and rushed her to an emergency veterinary hospital, where she received life-saving treatment, and although we never got the dog owner's information, as he fled the scene, we are choosing to focus on Charlie's road to recovery, thanks to the quick response and talent of the veterinarians who saved Charlie after administering over 100 internal and external stitches around her neck. Anyone who knows Charlie knows she is an exceptionally gentle dog who would not harm anyone, and she certainly did not deserve this traumatic experience, but her strength inspires us all, and we are committed to helping her heal and thrive once again. She is at home now, and although we are faced with a lengthy recovery process and substantial veterinary bills that will continue to accumulate, we remain optimistic, and we are grateful for any support we can get. As you can see, we are already close to four thousand dollars spent. (I Have Receipts) Any donations, big or small, to support Charlie's recovery would be greatly appreciated, and would bring us one step closer to helping Charlie achieve a full recovery, and live a happy and healthy life. Thank you very much. Love from Charlie. XO
