Hi, my name is Dan Downey. I am creating this fundraiser for my wife, Andrea Downey, who was diagnosed with leukemia on April 14th of this year. It has been one of the hardest things our family has ever gone through, and I am doing everything I can to take care of her.

Andrea has started chemotherapy, and right now my main focus is making sure she has a safe and comfortable place to be while she goes through her treatments. We are currently in an apartment, and we are doing our best to make it a comfortable and peaceful place for her to rest and heal the way she deserves.

The bills have piled up fast. We are dealing with medical bills, treatment costs, travel to and from appointments, utilities, and rent. It is a lot to handle all at once, and any help at all would mean everything to us. We are not trying to get rich, we just need enough to get by and keep Andrea comfortable while she fights this.

We do not have kids, but we have our dogs Lady and Harper, and they keep Andrea smiling even on the tough days. They remind us both every day that there is still so much good in life worth fighting for.
