Mission and Studies in Costa Rica

Dear friends and family,

I hope to travel to Costa Rica in January 2024. As part of my gap year I will be living at Portantorchas, the Capernwray Missionary Fellowship base located in San José, Costa Rica, until May 2024. My hope is to embark on a new exciting journey (Colossians 3 "put off the old and put on the new"). My desire is to grow in my faith in Jesus and my knowledge of the Bible. At Portantorchas my studies will include the books of the Bible, Christian Life, and Theology. Not only will I be able to dive into God's word but also be introduced to the culture of Costa Rica. During the five months I will have many hours of learning the language (Spanish) and going on week-long mission trips in addition to weekend or day trips around the country. This will be followed with weekly ministry and outreach opportunities. For example: orphanages, senior centres, on-campus soccer ministry and student worship teams.

In the months leading up to my time of travel, would you kindly consider supporting me both financially and in prayer?

Your prayers will help me properly prepare for this work and ensure the spirit's work in my heart and those we hope to minister to. The Capernwray leadership encourages their participants to reach out to the church communities, family, and friends in this effort.
