I’ve set this go fund me up to support a friend who is care experienced (spent time in the care system) who is at severe risk of homelessness, putting her and her children at risk of being split up and living separately.

she has gained a debt for council tax of £4,600 after her manipulative addict ex hid the debt from her and now balliffs are involved and have forced extremely high repayment of the debt that is unaffordable for my friend.

if she does not keep up with payments, their possessions and also their tenancy is at risk. This would mean they would be split up, with my friend having to stay with someone else but unfortunately the children cannot go with her, so they would have to go and stay stay with their dad, which would be stressful and traumatic for my friend and her children.

One of the children is trans and is very vulnerable and relies on their mum for day to day support from everything to school to coping with anxiety and emotional wellbeing. They simply cannot be split up, for all the children, but in particular the child who is trans because their mum is their life line.

growing up in care myself, I know how difficult it is to not have the usual support systems available when times get tough.

please please consider supporting my friend and her family. Her children are her world and we cannot allow them to loose their home and be separated, causing unimaginable trauma to the family.
