My name is Mike, and I am starting this fundraiser for my niece, Laura , and her beloved 5-year-old Maltese, Sunny.

To those who know them, it is no secret that Sunny is more than just a dog to Laura—he is her son, her constant companion, and the heart of her home.

Right now, both of them are going through a nightmare. Sunny has been diagnosed with a foxtail lodged in his lung, causing a severe infection. His health is deteriorating rapidly, and the vet has confirmed that he requires immediate, complex surgery to survive.

As her uncle, it breaks my heart to see my niece in this much pain, watching her boy suffer while facing the overwhelming pressure of these sudden, life-saving medical costs. We are doing everything we can to get Sunny the help he needs, but we cannot do it alone.
