Hi, my name is Stephen and few years ago a lump started to form on our daughter Jordan's
thigh. We went through test after test and it was determined to be myositis ossificans. Basically a bruise that has calcified. We were told that it wasn't necessary to remove it surgically and that I was mainly a cosmetic issue. If we did decide to have it removed we'd have to wait until it had fully completed growing. At the time Jordan didn't want to go through what was seemingly a cosmetic surgery. That is until it started to become painful. After letting the lump grow to 18cm we finally went through with the surgery on March 31, 2023. About three weeks later came the phone call that changed our lives forever. On April 20, 2023just 4 days before her 17th birthday pathology came back with a diagnosis of synovial sarcoma. We immediately set up appointments for the following week. She had a pet and feeding tube pit in. Chemo and radiation started in July. We traveled University of Penn every week for 5 days of radiation for 12 weeks of treatment. Meanwhile chemo every 3 weeks from July 7th resulting in a month long hospital stay. We are in our final lap with chemo. I'm the midst of receiving chemo Jordan noticed some shortness of breath. They did an echocardiogram and it showed a blood clot in her heart. This led to an unexpected hospital stay. So now on top of multiple meds daily she now receives 2 injections of lovenox a day. Her feeding tube got infected and had to be removed which also led us to another unexpected hospital stay. We are traveling at least twice weekly to Philly for blood work, chemo and echocardiograms. Our saving are depleted. Between gas, tolls, meals while away, missed work, etc our savings are depleted. We'd appreciate any donations that you can make on our daughters behalf. We'd also like to thank all our friends and family who have already donated. If you are not in a position to donate we would love if you could share. Every dollar and share helps
