Help Cheryl and Jody with At-Home Hospice Care

Donation protected

Hello, I'm Marsha Lynch Robinson, Jody Lynch's sister. We're raising funds so that his partner Cheryl Bennett Caywood can take some time off work to spend with Jody while they both get comfortable with him coming home from the hospital. He has a titanium spine, my brother, and isn't afraid to be at home alone during Cheryl's workday, but his mobility is somewhat limited. Having Cheryl able to be with him in their small home, rather than a series of strangers, would make all of this more bearable - for him, and for me and Cheryl, as well!

Jody is likely to be released from the hospital under hospice protocols before the weekend, so there is an urgent need for funds we could possibly use as soon as next week, and going forward.

Cheryl's employer has been an amazing ally so far in this journey, and they are willing to work with her schedule and save her position for her, but they are not able to pay her for time off she hasn't earned. These funds will help all of us who love Jody by putting Cheryl right by his side in the home they've made together, at Christmastime. A small portion may be used to purchase fuel for my trips between Louisville and St. Louis, as I continue to travel back and forth as often as the stars align properly.

If you've met my brother, you won't need any convincing that he needs and deserves our help now. If you know Cheryl, ditto. If I'm the only member of this little army you're acquainted with, first of all, my apologies. Secondly, know that I love my brother more than a fat kid loves cake, and making this happen is the best thing I can do for him right now.

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me through FB or a message here. Thanks in advance, it means everything.

And by the way, Jody is still very much with us, and perfectly conscious most of the time, and lucid, and really not any way not himself. It's difficult to for him to talk on the phone at times, but if you want to say hi you can send texts and emails and FB messages. You don't have to, but it's not inappropriate or burdensome. Food for thought!
