On Wednesday August 18, 2021, I called 911 because my wife (Charline Lawes) was having difficulty breathing due to complications of Covid-19. She was transported to Tampa General Hospital where it was learned that she had Covid-19 and Pneumonia. Despite the doctors best efforts to save her, she passed away due to the illnesses of these diseases.
My wife and I have been married for 8 years. We have two beautiful daughters, Iyanna Lawes (8 years old) and Isabella Lawes (6 years old). Iyanna is on a ventilator and was diagnosed with arthrogryposis and neuromuscular disorder and has been wheel chair bound since birth. She requires personal care around the clock which presents many challenges.
I love my wife and know she will be missed dearly by not only the kids and I, but all of her friends, family, students, and peers.
