I am a small animal vet who has been working in the area for 20 years. I have always had a keen interest in wildlife and I wanted to do more to try and help the local wildlife population. In 2020 I converted my garage into a hospital and I started to take in injured and orphan hedgehogs and birds. Over the last 4 years I have learnt so much about how best to care for them and have released hundreds of patients back to the wild.
My main passion has always been for hedgehogs, who are one of the most iconic of British Wildlife species. Every year more and more hedgehogs are brought into rescues ill with internal parasites or injured from strimmers, rat traps, pet dogs and many other dangers which are mostly the result of human activity. My main endeavour is to treat and rehabilitate as many of these precious creatures as possible to attempt to redress the balance and ensure hedgehogs will remain around for generations to come.
I am entirely self funded so any donations are gratefully received towards the costs of food, medicines and life saving equipment. If you would like to give any small gift towards my work then please donate here
