With November being known for Movember, a global movement highlighting the importance of men's health issues, like mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
This Movember, we just want to remind every man out there that you don’t have to carry everything on your own. It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to feel lost, tired, or not yourself. You are human at the end of the day! Somewhere along the way, too many men were taught to stay quiet, to “man up,” and to hide their pain behind a smile. But silence can be heavy and the stigma around men talking should be removed . Reaching out doesn’t make you weak, in fact it’s one of the bravest things you can do. So talk to someone. Check in on your mates, especially those that seem ok. Listen without judgment. We all fight battles no one else can see, and sometimes, a single honest conversation can be the light someone needs. Let’s use this month to remind men it’s okay to speak up, to reach out, and to take care of their mental and physical health.

The men in our lives are a backbone to us and we should be the same for them! So this month Richview Run Club are hoping to collectively run 1000km. Want to join us in making a difference? Richview Run Club are raising money to benefit Pieta, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us .
More information about Pieta: We’re Pieta, the charity that prevents suicide and self-harm. That means being there for you if you are self-harming, struggling with suicidal thoughts, or have lost someone to suicide. Every year nearly 500 people in Ireland take their own lives, that’s one life lost every week. It doesn’t have to be this way. Pieta exists to change this by offering life-saving services, provoking national conversation, and bringing people together through Darkness Into Light.
