Roker Report's January 542 (x2) miles for CALM

A handful of the guys at Roker Report are embarking on a challenge to simulate Sunderland AFC's two painful League One trips to Wembley by putting themselves through a similar pain!

The task.... to run / walk / cycle the 542 miles from the Stadium of Light to Wembley Stadium and back.... TWICE; with only the 31 days in January to do it in. Some are keen runners, some haven't exercised in years and just want to make a difference...  but we are all additionally motivated by the benefits exercise has on our mental (and physical) health!

So that is 1084 miles in one month.

January is a depressing enough month for most without the inclusion of Covid19  Restrictions, Tiers and Lockdowns. Now more than ever we need to raise awareness and money to help fund the services that fight back against depression and suicide.

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this. Join the campaign to take a stand against suicide.

January stings financially for most but any donation of any amount is equally as important as another.
