Jackie and Carlos met in 2019. Only a few dates in and there were sparks flying, the two fell in love immediately. As the months went by they discussed having children. With little to no hesitation, it turned out the two were both eager to start a family. However, for Jackie it wasn’t that easy, she struggled with infertility so much so she tried both western and eastern medicine. It was a constant battle, especially with her timeline in age. Finally after months of treatment and trying, the two were given the most exciting news, they were pregnant! Both so full of love and happiness it was hard to keep quiet about their soon to be bundle of joy. Sadly, two months later their pregnancy turned into a miscarriage. Their hearts were crushed and egos bruised. Grieving made it difficult to take the next step and try again. As months passed, they were pregnant again! The two eloped while Jackie carried their new little life growing inside. What an exciting time for these soulmates!! Sadly, within a few weeks, Jackie was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. It turned out the baby was in her fallopian tube (the one and only she had left) and had burst. Once again, crushed and bruised, grievance hitting harder this time around. How could it be possible to move forward with a positive mentality? It just didn’t seem possible for the two. Jackie and Carlos were informed they could no longer try conceiving the normal way, but did have a 90% of conceiving through IVF. This was great news, there’s still hope, however, the cost of it all would put a dent in their wallets. It required Carlos to work a second job (already commuting to a FT position), overtime work for Jackie (who should be healing and nurturing her mind/body), and having to postpone saving up for a new home. Despite the setbacks/grieving, Jackie and Carlos are still more determined than ever. If we could help these two in any way, not only will it give them hope, but also move quickly towards starting their family.
