After feeling tired more than normal, Jim Coker went to the doctor in mid July. He was diagnosed with APL Leukemia. He was transferred to Vanderbilt Hospital where he passed away on August 13.

As a member of the Christian congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses his refusal of blood complicated matter. He remained faithful to the end.

one scripture Jim kept quoting in his final days was Matt 24:13, “he that has endured to the end will be saved.” Jim Coker kept his faith to end.

His family is still sorting out his affairs as this sickness was unexpected.
