Give Lucy a Chance to Run Again

Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d find myself here, writing this and asking for help—but today, I’m doing it for someone who means the world to me: my sweet puppy, Lucy.

Lucy came into my life Christmas 2024, and from that moment on, she’s been the light in my life. She’s playful, full of personality, incredibly loving, and has a fierce little spirit that brings so much joy to our home. She also has two one-year-old fur brothers who absolutely adore her. They play together constantly—running, tumbling, and roughhousing like happy, healthy pups do.

But one ordinary day, something went wrong. They were playing just like they always do, and suddenly, Lucy started crying and whimpering in pain. We rushed her to the vet, and our worst fear was confirmed: she had broken her elbow.

Right now, Lucy is facing a difficult road ahead. The vets have told us that there are two possible paths:

• One option is surgery to try to repair her elbow. But because of the nature of her break and her age, it’s possible this would lead to multiple surgeries as she continues to grow.

• The other option is amputation—a heartbreaking choice that we desperately want to avoid if there’s any chance of preserving her leg and letting her live a full, active life.

We want to give Lucy the very best chance to heal and be her happy, bouncy self again. But the cost of the initial surgery, combined with follow-up care and potential complications, is simply beyond what I can afford right now. That’s why I’m turning to this community and asking—humbly and wholeheartedly—for help.

We’re trying to raise $2,500–$3,000 to cover Lucy’s treatment and give her the care she needs to recover without unnecessary pain or long-term suffering.
