Team Josh

This page was created to help Josh and his mother cover medical bills and other expenses incurred through Josh’s fight against Leukemia. Diagnosed in December of 2023 after bloodwork irregularities showed up during a routine check-up on his recovering broken leg, which happened during football season. Josh received word that he has B-ALL, the most common form of childhood Leukemia. He quickly started chemo treatments to address this at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which continues. While this hasn’t been easy on Josh – as a result of diabetes and a few other issues – he remains strong, grateful, and is doing well with the treatments.

Currently a senior at Grove City Christian School, where he is adored, Josh remains focused and determined. Both he and his mom are truly remarkable individuals -- having endured much over the last few years especially through the death of Josh’s father from ALS last year. Through this journey, he continues to show his faith, his strength, and the love he has for his family and friends.

I have had the honor and privilege of watching Josh compete in track and field, as one of his team’s assistant coaches. He has had a tremendous career in throwing and one of the highlights of my coaching career was watching him and his fellow throwers participate in the “thrower’s relay” last year! It was truly such fun watching him and his teammates excel and have such fun in competition!

While Josh won’t be able to compete this season – we are competing on his behalf! Team Josh is now in Marathon training (½ marathon) to raise funds to support both Josh and his mom through this time. Please help us make a positive impact on a young life that is making a positive impact to his friends, fellow students, family and community.
