We, the 8th Grade Class of Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School, are raising funds for an our end of the year trip to Washington DC. This trip speaks so much to the head, heart and hands aspect of Waldorf education, as they are on the cusp of becoming more independent in education, and in the world in general.

This trip affords an opportunity to spend some free time walking around, to show reverence while visiting the Holocaust museum, and boisterous joy while taking in a local sporting event. We feel so fortunate that our kids are getting the best of both worlds, beginning the year with Kevin’s amazing Ontario trip, and ending with a visit to our nation’s capital.

As was discussed, we do have some fundraising left to do, please donate what you can and share far and wide. Truly every bit helps, and is vital to making this dream a reality.
