Hi, my name is Briana and I’m creating this fundraiser for my family during a very difficult time.

Although I now live in Houston with my husband and children, my parents and family are going through something that’s truly difficult to cope with, and I’m doing everything in my power to help them.

My dad was recently taken into ICE custody. He was first held in the detention facility Alligator Alcatraz, where he spent over three weeks before being transferred to Port Isabel, Texas, far from home.

This situation has been overwhelming. My dad’s entire life is here. His wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, and close friends are all in the United States, specifically in Miami. Everything he has built and everyone he loves is here.

He is a man of faith, someone you would find at Sunday mass every week. He’s always been there for others, whether he knew them or not, and has lived his life with honesty, integrity, and kindness. He loves his grandchildren more than anything.

Right now, my mom is left trying to manage everything on her own, while we are also facing the reality of expensive legal fees to fight for him. We truly believe he deserves the chance to continue his life here with his family.

We are asking for help to cover the legal expenses as well support, no matter how small, even just sharing this, means more to us than we can express.
