Living with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome

Donation protected
Felicia was debilitated on November 16, 2016 with severe abdominal pain that sent her to the ER- not once, but nine separate times. Within 6 months she had lost 24 pounds and was down to 71 pounds. She continued to struggle with chronic pain, digestive issues, anxiety, insomnia, heart palpitations, strange rashes, food sensitivities, tingling, liver pain, gallbladder attacks and more. She was diagnosed with Lyme disease June 2017 and had seen 3 different doctors, undergone many tests and still could not gain weight no matter what she ate. She started treatment for SIBO via a Functional doctor yet still did not gain weight. After the 3 month treatment she began to have anaphylactic symptoms when she consumed certain foods. She was then diagnosed with MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) After several more tests it was confirmed that she was mercury toxic from old amalgam fillings. She also was diagnosed with Hypothyroid. (mercury attacks the thyroid) For several months she could not tolerate any treatment or supplements. She couldn't even tolerate bottled water without anaphylaxis. She began treatment for mercury toxicity after her amalgams were safely removed by a Biological dentist (one filling at a time) that followed the SMART system a total of three which took several months. She continued to take a mast cell stabilizer and ate as much as she could, while trying to tolerate thyroid medication. In this time she tried three separate thyroid medications, but her body just wouldn't tolerate it. She drastically had to change her diet, and limit carbs/sugar which gradually helped her. She started a compounded T3/T4 medication for thyroid and after 3 months finally tolerated a full dose after slowly working her way up to a full capsule. She is now up to 90 pounds and ready to begin treatment to completely heal her gut and chelate the mercury. Treatment will be through IV as she's ill on a cellular level. Supplements do not reach the cell, and cause histamine reactions (allergic-type reaction) Each IV treatment must be paid in full and this will go on weekly. Insurance unfortunately does not cover this type of treatment. She must get IV treatments and colon cleanses weekly as her liver is very elevated and weak. So toxins must be pulled from her body (via colon cleanse) or they will recirculate and cause debilitating symptoms. This lipid treatment will heal Felicia on a cellular level so her gut can finally heal, her several nutrient deficiencies will correct and her liver and kidneys will not suffer any longer. Felicia must get treatment immediately to get the lingering heavy metals chelated from her body and organs so she does not have organ failure. Please if you can donate anything it would be greatly appreciated. Felicia is a mother of a 10 year old boy and just wants her life back. She wants to see her son grow and to be free from chronic pain.

UPDATE 2/13/2023
Felicia has been struggling with chronic health issues since 2016. She has unfortunately been unable to work with the public due to a rare illness known as Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Felicia was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2017 and MCAS is a co-morbidity of Lyme Disease which causes the mast cells to become overactive due to the body being in a chronic inflammatory state.

Mast cells are what drive allergic reactions in the body. This means Felicia cannot be exposed to any chemicals (fragrance, car exhaust, environmental toxins like mold, etc) Felicia also has a very limited diet, and takes a potent anti-histamine to be able to tolerate the food she needs to thrive. When exposed to certain triggers Felicia can go into anaphylactic shock, this is why she carries epipen on her at all times.

Due to her over active mast cells she cannot work with the public, as something as simple as someone's shampoo, detergent, or deodorant could cause a severe life-threatening reaction which would send her to the ER.

Felicia's goals are to start her business through social media where she will have live sales. She will be able to work from the safety of her home away from the public and everything ships from her home as well, means no triggers and she will have the ability to support herself and her child.

If you could help Felicia get her business going she would be so grateful as she has had hurdles thrown at her left and right for several years now. As of current in the medical field there is no known cure for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Felicia is now divorced and doing all she can to stay afloat.
