When the COVID-19 pandemic ordered us to shelter-in-place, Pablo Hernandez hit the ground running rising to the aid of those in need. When so many of us didn’t know how we were going to survive, or get essentials, it was Pablo who showed up, with an unwavering doubt, full of positivity, and encouraged each of us to remain calm, knowing he’d find and get us whatever we needed. Pablo quickly became the hero of Sonoma. It wasn’t long before everyone in our incredible community knew him personally, or simply knew of him by name and constant praises. Born and raised in Sonoma, Pablo Hernandez has always been eager to volunteer and serve those in need. Though he was born with preliminary health issues, they have never been a barrier. Pablo deeply believes in the motto “Where there’s a will, there’s a way” and in the midst of a global pandemic he felt called to serve. What Pablo won’t tell you is that while he’s running every possible essential errand, he’s in the high-risk demographic. Yet, he never complains and is always willing to lend an extra hand, and go the extra mile. Pablo severely injured and tore his hamstring, leaving him unable to walk, and barely able to hobble around on crutches. His doctors just informed he will be needing intensive open-leg surgery, and to expect at least a six month recovery. Yes, giving to the community was keeping Pablo afloat, but now Pablo faces a tremendous struggle of complete uncertainty due to his recent injury. He is completely in jeopardy of being unable to pay his bills for the next six months, possibly longer. He is such a good, humble, caring, and hard-working individual. He will need help financially. A minimum of six months is a ridiculous amount of time to not be able to work, as Pablo loves to do. He will need substantial support. Please donate and reach out to Pablo.
