                    Motor Neurone Disease

Alright Everyone.

On the 14th of July 2019 I am taking part
in the Iron Man Challenge in Bolton.

I am taking on this huge challenge in support of my big cousin and best friend Michael Lundon (Aged 38), who has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Michael is married with two very young children. Motor Neurone Disease is a degenerative and life changing disease for which there is currently no cure.

The Challenge...

The Iron Man Challenge is classed as one of the toughest challenges on the planet consisting of a Swim a Bike and a Run. Each activity is mentally and physically challenging under timed conditions- the equivalent of running three full Marathons. Firstly, it’s a 2.4 Mile open water swim (2hrs 20 mins); followed by a 112 Mile Bike Ride (8hrs 10mins); finally, a 26.2 Mile Run (6hrs 30mins) 140 miles all together. The overall time is 17 hrs. This event is going to be gruelling and a race against time. If I don’t complete each event in the set times I will be cut from the competition. Wish me luck.

I just need all of you to support me in my Challenge so, I can support our Mike and his family through theirs. If you could forward this on to all your family and friends it would be very much appreciated. Let’s raise as much as we can to help this young family with their long battle ahead.
