Hi my name is Kayla and I am raising funds for my cat, Jack. He has been my sweet buddy boy for 14 years. I found him in Pennsylvania when I was 17, he was tiny, covered in fleas, and had extra toes. At his first vet appointment, the doctor called him "a certifiably awesome cat." He has been an incredible adventure companion, I love him dearly.

Over the last two years, he has been having issues with his left ear. He developed a growth in his ear canal, a polyp, which causes recurrent ear infections and bleeding. I have taken him to the vet 15 times in the last two years to treat his ear infections. Over the last 3 months the polyp has grown even larger, nearly blocking his whole ear canal, surgery is now the only option. He now has to wear a cone around his neck to prevent scratching and trauma to his ear canal. He is currently on steroids and antibiotics and requires ear cleanings every 12 hours. I had a chest x-ray and bloodwork done to ensure this wasn't cancerous prior to this surgical decision. He is otherwise happy and healthy - he plays, sleeps, eats, and cuddles.

Jack head bumped and cuddled me when we first met, and since then, he has become a part of my heart. He is the best friend of my black cat Lil' Spooky. They eat together, play together and cuddle together - basically, wherever spooky is, jack is too. I have seen firsthand the bond that Kayla and Jack have. He has been her rock in some of the toughest times, when she is upset, I always grab Jack and he immediately cuddles up next to her. It has been very difficult to see him be in pain and uncomfortable. It would mean absolutely everything if you could help keep this family happy and healthy by donating to our Jackie Boy.
