Please consider supporting Kim!
Early Friday morning, we were awakened to a phone call that is everyone’s nightmare. My sister-in-law, Kimberly, had seizures which stopped her breathing, and her heart. Her partner, Linda, quickly did everything she could, and the EMT’s were finally able to revive her after what seemed like eternity, and two uses of the shock paddles. My in-laws and my husband immediately headed to Georgia to be with Kim. She was moved to the ICU for trauma at Macon Coliseum Medical Center.
She has remained intubated, and unable to attempt breathing on her own. They lowered her body temperature to 33 degrees to try and stop the damaging effects from seizure activity in her brain, but have not been successful.
Family and loved ones have rallied behind Kim, and have gathered together at the hospital. Their presence is a true reflection of just how how much she is loved.
Kim is a mother to my beautiful niece, Hailey. She is the love of Linda’s life. She is a loyal sister, daughter and friend. She is a lover of animals, stubborn as the day is long, and she lights up a room with her smile.
The medical expenses of this nightmare will inevitably accrue to incomprehensible amounts, as we all know the astronomical costs involved with this level of care. I want to help with that burden. Please, if you feel led in your heart to give, no matter how small, every dollar will go towards the mounting expenses ahead.
If you pray, please pray for peace to envelope my family and Kim’s dear friends at this time. We also ask that you stand with us as we continue to pray for Kim’s healing.
