Thank you so much for visiting our Go Fund Me page.
Our dad was recently diagnosed with squamous cell cancer, forming at the base of his tongue and continuing to lymph nodes in his neck.
All of us Morris kids were raised in a house of love, joy, faith, kids, and music! We weren't the Von Trapp family, but growing up in a house filled with singing and making music was a wonderful way to grow up.
What was even better was that my dad was able to share that love of music with our friends, with our church, and with tens of thousands of students across the Upstate.
Having a large family and a vocation of teaching music to kids does not leave a lot of financial cushion, but even with 7 of us kids my parents always found a way to make ends meet. In the end it was worth it because my dad has been able to touch so many lives.
As an in-class music teacher, the pandemic severely diminished our dad's ability to work for two years. He has been slowly but surely building his business back up but this diagnosis, treatment, and estimated recovery has the potential to put him back on the bench for at least a year.
So we are asking for a little help. We know things may be tight and times have been tough, but we would be grateful for any support. It is going to be an emotionally and physically challenging road ahead. Any help relieving the financial burden that comes with these challenges would mean the world to us.
Please contribute if you can, never stop praying as it is just as important, and please share this page far and wide! Our dad has dedicated his life to loving, caring for others, and spreading the joy of music. We want to do what we can to help him and our mom as they gear up for this battle.
Thank you all so much. We love you and God bless.
