Maverick Wallace Turner was born on August 26th, 2022 at 33wks. Maverick is the first child of Miriam Turriff and William Turner. Miriam’s pregnancy was complicated by premature rupture at 23 weeks. She was able to continue to carry Maverick for the next 10 weeks under close supervision in the hospital until she went into labor on August 26th. Maverick was immediately intubated and due to the complications, he was transferred to the NICU. He later suffered a tension pneumothorax and had to have a chest tube placed. From there, Maverick started having blood pressure issues and was diagnosed with PPHN. Since then, he has made huge improvements and will have a long road of recovery ahead of him.
