I’m reaching out because on 08/17/25, around 4:30 AM, a fire broke out in my living room while we were asleep, destroying all of our belongings in that area. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and we all made it out in time.

I’m currently seeking any help we can possibly get to help us get back on our feet.

Due to recent cutbacks at work, my boyfriend and I were already struggling to make ends meet and were unable to pay rent this month. We had the money, but due to this unexpected tragedy, I had to use what we had to cover emergency expenses—repairing damage, washing clothing, and staying in a hotel. This has only added to our hardship. Unfortunately, I did not have renters insurance at the time. I have three children—my 4-year-old son, my 13-year-old brother (both currently in school), and my 18-year-old brother. I’m doing everything I can to get us through this, and any support or guidance would truly mean the world to us. Thank you in advance for any help, suggestions, or resources you can provide.
