I am Behzad Hamrahi, and I am one of those who lost an eye during the popular protests. My left eye was completely destroyed by a bullet fired by security forces, and I have lost about 40% of the vision in my right eye as well.

Due to security threats and pressure, I was forced to leave my country about two years ago with my wife and two children and seek asylum in Turkey.

Unfortunately, because of the poor conditions for asylum seekers in Turkey and the lack of adequate support for medical care, livelihood, and employment — since asylum seekers are not even allowed to work legally — I am unable to cover my medical expenses and daily living costs.

For this reason, I am in urgent need of your support to cover my medical and living expenses and to help me leave Turkey.
