We can honestly say that we never thought we would be here in need of a go fund me... but unfortunately we are.
On Tuesday, December 16th, our oldest daughter Autumn hydroplaned, resulting in a head on collision. Her van caught on fire and she was unconscious, thank God there were some amazing people who stopped to get her out.
Our biggest blessing with this wreck is that our grandsons were not in the car with her.
She suffered a brain bleed, a broken right hip and a tore celiac artery. Autumn has since had hip surgery to put in plates and screws to repair the injury. It will be 10 weeks before she can put any weight on her hips to start PT.
It has been confirmed that she does have mild brain damage.
Since the wreck she has not been fully conscious. We have gotten some movements but we are so ready for more, especially to hear her voice.
She was taken off of the ventilator yesterday and we are so ALL happy to be and to report it.
We are all so optimistic for our girl and we know that she will pull through but she definitely has a long road ahead of her.
While she focuses on healing we are focusing on getting everything in order to take care of her finances as well as her two sweet boys. Our grandsons are 6 and 3, and missing her very much.
We are so lucky to have such an amazing support system to help with the boys and our other children so we can be at the hospital with her.
Unfortunately right now, especially with her DAI, we do not have a good time frame of how long she will be out of work or how long it will be until she is home to be with her boys.
Medical bills are another large unknown expense.
We are thankful for any and all donations, and even more thankful for any prayers or well wishes.
We truly have an amazing army behind our girl and we look forward to 2026 being a year of healing.
