I'm Vanessa! You might know me from Tiktok or Instagram or somewhere where I'm probably telling a story from music history.

It's been my dream to publish my first book about the intersection of music and life and culture, and I need a little bit of support to finish it and put it out into the world.

What do I need the money for if I'm self-publishing?

Not having a publisher means I'm doing almost all of the work myself. The biggest expense when it comes to producing a book is editing, but also marketing and promotion on top of graphic design, indexing and copyright and other legitimizing fees.

The book will be release in chapters through my Patreon, one a month for the next year while I work on finalizing my research, editing and planning the release of the final product in 2025.

Contributing to this fundraiser will guarantee you a free hard copy of the final copy when its released, about which we'll be contacting you via email prior to the launch for shipping details.
