Queridos amigos y familiares,

Con el corazón apesadumbrado comparto la noticia del reciente fallecimiento de mi madre, Elvia Peña, el 26 de octubre de 2025. Para aquellos que la conocieron, saben lo amable y amorosa que era como esposa, madre y Pastora de la iglesia Iglesia Amistad Cristiana Covina. Era una persona maravillosa y su pérdida deja un gran vacío en nuestra familia e iglesia, pero sabemos que ahora está en la presencia de Dios.

Nos sorprendió la rapidez de los acontecimientos y no estábamos preparados para el alto costo de un servicio fúnebre. Muchos de ustedes han preguntado amablemente cómo pueden ayudar a nuestra familia durante este difícil momento. Para darle el homenaje que se merece, estamos recaudando fondos para cubrir los costos de sus gastos funerarios. Nuestra meta es reunir $13,000 para cubrir estos arreglos.

Cualquier contribución, sin importar el tamaño, significaría mucho para nosotros y nos ayudaría a darle a mi madre una digna despedida. Si pueden donar, pueden hacerlo aquí.

Dear friends and family,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my mother, Elvia Pena, recent passing on October 26,2025. For those who knew her, you know what a kind, loving wife, mother and Pastor of the church Iglesia Amistad Cristiana Covina. She was a wonderful person and her loss leaves a huge role missing in our family and Church but we know she’s in the presence of God now.

We were shocked of the quickness of things and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. Many of you have graciously asked how you can help our family during this difficult time. To give her the memorial she deserves, we are fundraising to cover the costs of her funeral expenses. Our goal is to raise $13,000 to cover these arrangements.

Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean so much to us and would help us give my mother a dignified farewell. If you are able to donate, you can do so here.
