Hi everyone, my name is Carlos and the reason for this fundraiser is to help allocate the funds needed for my eye surgery. I suffer from an eye stigma called keratoconus that makes the cornea of the eye bulge into an cone/oval shape cornea and when light enters my eye it gets scrambled to the point where all I can make out of my right eye are general shapes and colors. These funds will be used to have corrective surgery to fix my right eye, and prevent my left eye from becoming identical to my right eye. I will also need special contacts/glasses that will allow me to see again but the closest location where this special surgery (cross-linking) can be performed is in California. Therefore I am asking for help from anyone that can help. I am still trying to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor and it’s a tall order trying to achieve this dream when I have to deal with my eye situation on a daily basis and in everything I do.
