So, my name is Roy Hankins, and I have been battling cancer, specifically Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin's Lymphoma, since March of 2024. This process has taken longer than normal because of my lack of an immune system. This has been a very uneasy process and one that has had its cost mentally, physically, emotionally, as well as financially. I have been down this road before with a GoFundMe, and I was hoping to avoid it in the future, but here we are. So let's give you an update.

I’m currently in partial remission from Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and I’m doing everything I can to continue my cancer recovery and move toward full remission. At the end of this month, I have two important procedures scheduled — a Lymph Node Biopsy and a Bone Marrow Aspiration and Biopsy Unfortunately, my insurance won’t cover the Bone Marrow procedure, which costs about $2,500 out of pocket.

With ongoing medical bills, the cost of medications, Ubers to and from appointments and essential needs like rent, utilities, and food, things have gotten extremely difficult. Recent weather issues have made it even harder to keep up.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has helped me in the past — your support, generosity, and kind words have carried me through more than you know. I really don’t like asking for money or help, but I’m at a crossroads where I simply don’t have a choice. When it comes to something I have to do in order to keep progressing in my cancer journey, I have to reach out and ask.
