Roy’s Health is Declining: Please help us support him

Hi! I’m Amanda and my partner’s name is Madrid. We adopted Roy together in 2021 and he has been our snugglesaurus, distinguished gentleman, and sweet boy. He’s been my anxiety support cat and unfortunately he has taken a turn for the worse.

For the last year or so, Roy has had issues with diarrhea and intermittent vomiting, and while we saw multiple vets several times, the best they could tell us was that we could try different medicated diets. In May, he had swelling in his lymph nodes and small intestine.

After returning from a trip, Roy started to decline over the course of a few weeks. On Sunday, August 3rd we had to take him to ER Vet for evaluation which cost us nearly $1000. On Wednesday, August 6th, we took him to see an internal medicine specialist for additional tests. Unfortunately, they cannot perform some tests as he is not stable enough for sedation. They did what they could, but our cost for the visit with tests was an additional $1300 and we are left with no diagnosis at the moment.

Roy doesn’t qualify for pet insurance and we were a bit blindsided by his quick decline and cost of tests. Any support to help pay his bill is so appreciated so that we can explore additional supportive care for our sweet boy.
