Hi.

My name is Danny Adderson and I'm the Secretary for Roydon Football Club in Essex.

We have Adult Saturday and Sunday teams playing out of Roydon Playing Fields (CM19 5HL).

Our last two seasons have been hampered by an old broken farm pipe underneath the halfway line of our main pitch - which in periods or rain (quite a bit recently) will leak from under the surface and resultingly flood the area - making matches unplayable for a number of weeks.

It's fair to say our Saturday and Sunday season has been a disaster due to this despite several attempts to resolve via our own methods.

The plans are now in place to have the pipe replaced across the Playing Fields over the summer thanks to a kind contribution from the local council - however we are looking to raise the remaining £1,500 via this funding.

Any contributions would be greatly appreciated so we can continue to grow our village club.

Just as a side note - numerous attempts have been made with the help of local councils and experts to locate the source of the pipe - unfortunately no site plans exist as we suspect the pipe was installed over 70 years ago (at least).
