Royce had a Very Bad Accident.
Donation protected
On the morning of January 6, 2022 Royce had a serious accident.
He comes to work with me every day, starting at 2 AM going to maintenance accounts until 6 AM, and then works with me all day at my next job from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. We work in a very large building that requires constant care for the building and grounds. Royce normally roams around the building and grounds and goes to visit various people in various departments.
Workers were on the roof fixing something. Unfortunately he went up the main stair way, and through the door which is never open, which led out to one of the various flat roofs in the building.
He’s an English whippet and runs extremely fast, and we believe without realizing he kept running on the long flat roof and jumped over the side falling three stories nearly to his death.
When I saw him he was in extreme pain, and some told me right away to immediately put him down and put him out of his misery.
He sustained three broken legs, a broken knee, ruptured spleen, punctured lung, A concussion, and various other injuries.
He was only born on May 5 of 2020, he’s been my constant companion since the day I picked him up at eight weeks old, and I was forced to make the decision of putting him to sleep or saving his life.
Without giving it a second thought, I googled the nearest animal hospital which was West Hills, and a coworker and I rushed him to the hospital, and I asked them to please save him.
I told the doctors even if I had to get a third job, I wanted them to try to save his life.
Lucky for me and lucky for him? They were able to save his life, unfortunately that came at a price, and the bills are still mounting, and these bills that you see ; Are not the end.
He still needs two more surgeries and physical therapy and rehabilitation. Never in my life have I ever asked for a handout, I’ve already maxed out two credit cards, so I’m asking for anyone’s help in paying the medical bills if they’re able to donate towards saving Royce.
God bless to all the people that have already donated, and God bless those who are about to donate to his cause, and cost of getting well.
Thank you in advance to all the animal lovers like me out there that would go out of their way, to save their best friends life no matter what the cost.
Sincerely, and heartfelt
Steven Palma
