Hi! We are the Founder's Choir of Royal Holloway, University of London - an auditioned choir of approximately 30 singers, all studying at the University.
The choir meets weekly during the academic term to work towards concerts and regular evening services in the College Chapel. The choir also attends local cathedrals as a visiting group, most recently performing at Southwark Cathedral and St George’s Chapel, Windsor, as well as singing one of the university’s popular Lessons and Carols services in the approach to Christmas.
Founder's Choir also embarks on an overseas tour each summer. This tour can only be possible with the help of fundraising efforts throughout the year, to ensure that every singer has an equal opportunity to engage in the every musical endeavour of our group. This is vital in maintaining the inclusive ethos of our group, aiming to nurture the potential of our singers.
We are also raising funds towards the general upkeep of the choir, including music printing, transport costs and renting spaces to rehearse and perform in, when we venture outside of the university.
