Hello family and friends,
As many of you know, I volunteer for a non-profit organization called Royal Family KIDS. It was founded in 1985 and it's primary purpose is to give foster children ages 6-12 a week of positive memories and royal treatment in a camp environment. They receive the attention and encouragement from an adult camp counselor. What's unique about our camp is that we have a 1:1 ratio, which means each child has their own camp counselor that invests in their lives during the entire week by demonstrating unconditional love, positive affirmation and fostering an environment where each moment experienced could be life changing. God's love is not only shared but experienced. For 5 days, kids from "hard places" are given the opportunity to simply be kids and to feel safe in a world that hasn't always afforded them that. Some of the activities they experience include swimming, zip lines, activities, songs and skits, sports, tea parties, birthday party, costumes, etc.
For those who've been to Royal Family KIDS, it's a family. At camp we have a grandma, grandpa, aunt and uncle. Their main goal is to simply love and have fun with the kids! Meal times are homestyle as well! So in a world where a camper normally comes from a broken home and doesn't get the opportunity to sit around the dinner table with mom, dad, grandma, grandpa etc....at camp....they do.
So I'm asking for your help. We have already raised about $15,000 and are currently half way to our $30,000 goal. One person can make a difference, but imagine what could happen if a community came together to help those who cannot help themselves. 100% of the proceeds go directly to camp. Please partner with me in making a difference in a child's life this summer.
