I’d like to first thank everyone for stopping by on this GoFundMe account.
I’m Elibeth Immel, and I’d like to share the reason for this GoFundMe account. Many of my friends, and family know my sister Ira and Roy Lopez (husband). They both tested positive with Covid19 along with my 2 nephews. Thankfully my sister’s symptoms weren’t life threatening, and my two nephews showed no symptoms. However, my brother-in-law, Roy didn’t have the same results.
Roy Lopez was taken to the ER on November 26th with life threatening oxygen levels which were in the 40s. He is being treated at Trios Hospital in Kennewick, WA. Due to his oxygen levels he was admitted to the ICU and 2 days later the ICU doctor made the decision to intubate, heavily sedated, medically paralyzed and provide treatment for a few weeks depending on his progress. He then had a slight improvement but then the pulmonology specialist provided my sister with his progression and it has not been good. Roy is fighting the virus but it is attacking his lungs which is causing inflammation, fluid build up and Covid Pneumonia. His kidney is failing and he has an elevated heart rate due to his lungs and kidneys. My sister Ira is strong with her faith and has been firm to Roy’s health experts to continue ventilator treatment. This unfortunate event has been pouring with support from the family from both sides, friends, and the community.
Roy is a loving father of 4 amazing kids. He is a great husband, an amazing friend and family member that goes his way out for anyone that needs help. He is a hard working husband, a provider and dedicates his free time to his kids and wife. He loves his family dearly. Roy and family and are in our thoughts and prayers as he is fighting for his life.
These are hard times and have taken a toll on my sister and her family. Since her recovery she’s been working a couple hours to help pay stacking bills, and buy the necessities at home for her children and self. I know that she is not alone, and honestly she isn’t the type of person that asks for help, this is where I come in, I ask of our family, friends and community to please help with any donation you can. Due to the circumstances my sister's family is in, I know that she would be forever grateful for all the help. Donations will be spent towards; gas expenses when she goes to see about her husband Roy, groceries for the family, any medical expenses and expenses that are to come regarding Roy. We weren't given much hope, medical experts said that my brother-in-law is not getting better and that virus is attacking his organs. But my sister is Roy's greatest advocate, she continues to stay strong for her family and confident and staying true to her faith in Roy’s recovery.
My sister has been an amazing wife and mom through all this, please keep her and family along with Roy in your thoughts and prayers because they definitely needed.

Soy Elibeth Immel y me gustaría compartir el motivo de esta cuenta de GoFundMe. Muchos de mis amigos y familiares conocen a mi hermana Ira y Roy Lopez (esposo). Ambos dieron positivo con Covid19 junto con mis 2 sobrinos. Afortunadamente, los síntomas de mi hermana no amenazaban su vida y mis dos sobrinos no mostraron síntomas. Sin embargo, mi cuñado Roy no tuvo los mismos resultados.
Roy López fue llevado a la sala de emergencias el 26 de noviembre con niveles de oxígeno potencialmente mortales que estaban en los 40. Está siendo tratado en el Hospital Trios en Kennewick, WA. Debido a sus niveles de oxígeno ingresó en la UCI y 2 días después el médico de la UCI tomó la decisión de intubar, sedar fuertemente, paralizarlo médicamente y darle tratamiento por unas semanas dependiendo de su evolución. Luego tuvo una leve mejoría pero luego el especialista en neumología le informó a mi hermana su progresión y no ha sido buena. Roy está luchando contra el virus, pero está atacando sus pulmones, lo que le provoca inflamación, acumulación de líquido y neumonía covid. Su riñón está fallando y tiene una frecuencia cardíaca elevada debido a sus pulmones y riñones. Mi hermana Ira es fuerte con su fe y ha sido firme con los expertos en salud de Roy para continuar con el tratamiento con respirador. Este desafortunado evento ha contado con el apoyo de la familia de ambos lados, los amigos y la comunidad.
Roy es un padre cariñoso de 4 hijos increíbles. Es un gran esposo, un gran amigo y miembro de la familia que se esfuerza por ayudar a cualquiera que necesite ayuda. Es un esposo trabajador, proveedor y dedica su tiempo libre a sus hijos y esposa. Ama profundamente a su familia, y su familia y él mismo están en nuestros pensamientos y oraciones mientras lucha por su vida.
Estos son tiempos difíciles y han pasado factura a mi hermana y su familia. Desde su recuperación, ha estado trabajando un par de horas para ayudar a pagar las facturas acumuladas y comprar las necesidades del hogar para sus hijos y para ella. Sé que no está sola y, sinceramente, no es el tipo de persona que pide ayuda. aquí es donde entro pidiendo ayuda a familiares, amigos y la comunidad. Les pido por favor que me ayuden con cualquier donación que puedan, debido a las circunstancias en las que se encuentra la familia de mi hermana, sé que ella siempre estará agradecida por toda la ayuda. Las donaciones se destinarán a; gastos de gasolina cuando vaya a ver a su esposo Roy, víveres para la familia, esto ayudará con los gastos que están por venir, los expertos médicos no nos dieron muchas esperanzas de que mi cuñado sobreviviera a esto.
