Roy Jilek Memorial Fund

Roy joined the McCon family on February 2, 2004, as one of our first service technicians. At the time, we were responding to a request from a customer to expand our capabilities beyond construction. Roy was integral in this evolution and its success. He was loyal, hardworking, and good. He has been a mentor to young technicians on our team and across the industry. He had aptly earned the nickname amongst his peers as “the MacGyver of fuel techs.”

As a testament to his character, he visited our office this past Christmas dressed as Santa to hand out candy canes on his day off. Unfortunately, shortly after that, he tested positive for COVID and Pneumonia and was hospitalized on 12/26/21.

In February, he had two significant milestones – 2/2/22 marked his 18th work anniversary, and on 2/18/22, he turned 62.

His wife Kaye survives him, sons Theodore, Cray, Ryan, and two grandchildren. He was very close with his grandson, Anthony. Please join us in remembering Roy and assisting his family through this challenging time.
