Our family is raising much needed funds for my Uncle Roy also famously known as Gomer for increasing medical expenses. He is a 57 year old dairy farmer at heart that just wont quit. He is happily married to the love of his life Aunt Kim and together they have raised three children who are a true testament to the love and values they were instilled with. He was originally diagnosed with Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma which is a very rare form of stomach cancer in the form of a tumor in January of 2018. He had a portion of his stomach removed along with the tumor and was able to be treated and he went into remission in August 2018. In December of 2020 the cancer came back with a vengeance. In January of 2021 he had the rest of his stomach, part of his esophagus and some of his intestine removed. He currently uses a J-tube to take all necessary nutrition. He has attempted every treatment offered with no success. At this time he is not taking chemo due to the fact his body is unable to tolerate it and at this point in is completely in Gods hands. At this time the doctors are giving him up to four months of time left with his family. Gomer is someone who has and continues to go above and beyond to help other people in there valleys.
