Firefighter (Capt.) Roy Barraza Assistance Fund

Story

The Roy Barraza Fund Many of you have asked how you can help and show support for Roy and his family in this unbelievably challenging time. …. Roy,  37, was seriously injured in an accident on Tuesday Nov 17, 2020 while driving home from work.  Roy suffered extensive head and facial injuries.  He is currently hospitalized and in guarded condition.  His recovery will require multiple reconstructive surgeries in the upcoming weeks and months as well as general medical care. This is a very tragic and heartbreaking situation.  This accident has had a tremendous impact on the Barraza family, emotionally and financially.  Roy is the main support for his family.  Medical care, current and in the future is extremely expensive and then there are the everyday living expenses as well. We know Roy as many things... a loving and dedicated father to Olivia and Eric Barraza... devoted and loving grandson to “Nana”...a dedicated volunteer Firefighter for the Concho Fire Department for 14 years...a delivery driver for FedEx...a friend to so many….and always willing to help anyone who is in need… Roy is currently hospitalized and fighting to get back to everyone he cares about and care about him.  The road to recovery is expected to be long due to the nature of his injuries. Anyone that knows Roy knows he is bigger than life-literally....loves playing darts...riding off-road...fishing...camping ...rooting for the Arizona Cardinals …spending time with friends and family...and as an overall great man.  He is usually the one providing care and support to others and this time it is he who needs our care and support.... This fund raiser is to help ease Roy’s and his family’s financial burden within the upcoming weeks/months, especially with the medical bills from Roy’s hospitalization and care.  The road to recovery is expected to be long. Roy loves his family and friends and shows it often.  Lets show him how much we love and care for him by making a donation in his time of need. Big or small every dollar helps and you can donate providing your name or anonymously if you prefer. He has so much more life to live with his family and friends and goodness to spread through the community.  Please consider donating to help Roy. Thank you… Friends and Family of Roy Barraza Other ways to help... In addition to this fund, Steve Gordon, owner of Firestone Pizza has organized a fundraiser to take place on Dec 5, 2020 7-10 pm.  The Heber Ridge Band will be playing at Firestone with a $5.00 cover charge.  ALL proceeds from the cover charges collected that night will be donated to Roy.
