Roy Barefoot's Medical and Recovery Fund

On December 29, 2019, Roy’s life was spared but his body was badly broken. Roy lost his footing, went through a railing, landing a full story below. He was rushed to the hospital where he had multiple broken vertebrae, a fractured sternum, multiple broken rib and both shoulder blades.  He underwent back surgery to address the fractured vertabre where they placed 9 pins to support T6 and T12 and relieve pressure on his spinal cord.

Roy is a hard working man and is eager to get back to the job he loves. It’s never easy to ask for help, but he needs support to get him through the next several months. He has exhausted his vacation time and is now forced to take unpaid leave.  He and his family need our help to cover medical and living expenses while he is out of work.

Roy is the primary provider for his family. He is a husband, father to 2 girls and grandfather to 2 beautiful children. Roy is very strong and this is a fight he will push through, but his injuries are incredibly painful even for him.
