UPDATE 10/18/24
Hello Again,
We just had our 2 week post op apportionment yesterday and Roxy is not yet progressing in the way that we had hoped. We were given reassurance that it can take a long time for stem cell treatment to show improvement. Our Vet at Roscoe Village Animal Hospital has been so great with us and is recommending another procedure for Roxy. This one is less invasive that the first and requires no anesthesia (Thank goodness-that dog could not keep her tongue in her mouth after it, while it was sad to see her so out of it she did look a little funny). We are glad more can be done to support her and we are still so grateful for any and all support.
PS - Roxy and Breezer were featured for their work at St. Pius V School.

I'm a friend of the Riley family and set this up in Kim's name to help support them as they try to work out covering the cost of a procedure for one of their dogs, Roxy. The Riley family felt at odds about setting this up, but it is a large unexpected cost they were not anticipating. Roxy tore her CCL (the same as the ACL but for dogs). She has a full tear and is unable to weight bear on her back right leg. She is scheduled for a procedure in a week and needs this to restore her mobility and her ability to do her jobs as a service and therapy dog for the students at school.
The cost of the whole procedure is just over $6000. They have about a third secured, so anything would help. The procedure cost does not include follow-up appointments, which are about $150-$250 each. Any support, even good thoughts and positive energy, would be greatly appreciated.
