Many of you have reached out asking how you can help our family with Roxy and her newborn pups. We never thought we would ask for help financially for a pet, but we would love as much help as possible.

Roxy gave birth on the 16th. Exhausted and tired, she came home with 11 puppies. The next day she exhibited typical exhaustion and things seemed to be going pretty smoothly. The following day we noticed that she wasn’t feeling good and wasn’t willing to eat, get up and move around or do anything at all. She was giving everything she could to her pups and showed severe signs of distress so we felt like we had to take her to the vet. We found out that she has a severe case of pneumonia.

She has had to be kept in an oxygenated crate because her lung capacity is not strong enough, antibiotics, fluids, and more. We kept her there for one night and felt like we had to continue having her stay a second night. We were all hoping one more night would help her function so much better. after a second night, they want us to keep her there for a third. We are exhausted in doing what we can for her. We purchased an oxygenated crate for home and will be going to pick up a tank for her today so that we can bring her home tomorrow night. Unfortunately, this is taking quite a toll on our finances. We may not normally consider doing something like this, but with all of these newborn puppies, we feel like we want to try to do whatever we possibly can along with a lot of prayer and anyone that can provide some hands-on help feeding these little ones. I have the benefit of working from home however I’m at the point in a school year where I can’t take any days off and Mike has already taken some off. If anyone is willing to also help with coming to the house to feed the pups during my workday that would be incredibly appreciated.
