Hi all, this is Ben Austin, owner of BA K9 Professional Training. My employee and lead dog trainer, Frida, had to have emergency surgery performed for her 11-month-old dog, Roxas.
On Monday, 11/28/22, Frida and her boyfriend took Roxas to UW Veterinary Care Animal Hospital in Madison, WI and doctors determined Roxas had Intestinal Intussusception.
Intestinal intussusception in dogs is a disorder that causes the intestines to twist and turn into one another. The only treatment option in Roxas's stage was surgery.
We, as dog people, of course will do whatever we can possible to save our dog's lives! It truly is a stressful situation when deciding if you can afford to save your dogs life.
The decision was made to perform the surgery, and this unexpected procedure resulted in an expensive medical bill.
The great news is after three days in the hospital, Roxas is now stabilized and home recovering. Thank you to the amazing doctors and staff at UW Vet Care.
I created this go fund me page for Frida as any donation, any amount, will significantly help Frida and her family (boyfriend Bill and 18 month old Avril).
The total amount was $5,069. I have included a photo of the final bill as well.
Thanks for reading and considering! Take care all.
