Roxanne's Top Surgery and Recovery Fund

Hello! My name is Roxanne; I am a non-binary trans femme person in Portland, OR.

I am raising funds to cover the costs of my top surgery and the cost of living while I am unable to work during recovery. I am a chef and restaurant manager; my job is incredibly hands-on and requires a lot of strength I will not have for 6-8 weeks.

I have been struggling with chest dysphoria for the last seven years. Getting this surgery will mean a lot towards my happiness and coming into my own. Sadly top surgery isn't often covered by my insurance provider and continuing to be on year-long waitlist after year-long waitlist doesn't feel viable to me anymore.

My need is around $18,000; this is factoring in many unpredictable costs that may or may not be necessary. Any leftover or unnecessary funds will go 50% to Food for the Community, a Portland-based Black-led mutual aid project, getting hot, quality meals to portland's houseless population and 50% to Black trans folks' surgery and support.
